Power-On Achieved on MOET Test Rig at Airbus Toulouse!

TOULOUSE, FRANCE – March 12, 2009

The AIRBUS project team successfully completed the first Power-On of the 230VAC and +/- 270VDC electrical system on the 100m test rig in Toulouse. The 230VAC power center from ZODIAC was powered-on with the generators from GOODRICH. The +/-270VDC power center (from ZODIAC too) was also powered-on with GOODRICH generators through appropriate power converters:

• in Basic configuration through the ATRU from THALES
• in Advanced configuration through the rectifier units from ZODIAC.

With this achievement, the project has passed a basic check of the electrical system and it has shown that the hardware was developed as required and is correctly installed in Toulouse. This provides the basic platform to begin integration/troubleshooting of other equipments (power electronics, electrical users...), for getting ready for full entry-into-service of the test rig and system tests.

It is important to point out that all involved Partners can be proud of this accomplishment. In particular, congratulations to WP3, WP6 and WP8 Partners for completing this major milestone.
